How TIMOMAX answers

The conversation is real. The facts are not generated.

Ask TIMOMAX holds an ordinary conversation — you type what is happening, it remembers it, and you can carry on without starting over. What it will not do is make up a fact. Every hospital, phone number, address, distance, organisation and government figure it shows comes from a verified record, and when it cannot confirm something it says so rather than producing something that sounds right.

How to read an answer

Seven kinds of claim, never blended.

These are not a quality ranking. A community sighting is a different sort of thing from a government award record, and a person deciding whether to drive across a county deserves to know which one they are looking at.

Verified by TIMOMAX

TIMOMAX recorded this itself and a control confirmed it — an approved placement, a two-sided handoff, a settled payment. It is the strongest claim in the system.

Shelter-provided

An organisation entered this. TIMOMAX shows it with the time it was confirmed, because a capacity figure with no timestamp is a rumour.

Government record

From a public government source. Every figure links back to the original record and is never combined with figures from another source.

TIMOMAX partner

A TIMOMAX partner organisation's own statement about its availability. The partner is accountable for it; TIMOMAX shows when they last confirmed it.

External source

From a current third-party source such as an organisation's published opening hours. TIMOMAX shows when it last read it, because hours change and a stale one sends someone to a locked door.

Community-submitted

Posted by a member of the public. TIMOMAX has not verified it. Useful, and not the same as confirmed.

AI analysis — not a fact

TIMOMAX computed this from the data below it. It is an inference or a projection, not an observation, and it can be wrong. The reasoning is always shown.

What it can answer

Eleven capabilities, each backed by a real query.

Ask TIMOMAX can do exactly what is on this list. Widening it means writing a new capability with its own query and its own provenance — deliberately more work than widening a prompt.

Communitysupport.find_help

Pet Support — keeping a pet at home

Pet food banks, low-cost veterinary care, litter, supplies and community offers near you, so a bad month does not become a surrender.

  • “I can't afford pet food”
  • “Where can I get help with cat litter?”
Communitysupport.give_help

Offering supplies to someone nearby

Post food, litter, carriers or supplies you can give, and TIMOMAX matches them against the needs closest to you — essentials first.

  • “I have pet food to donate”
  • “Where can I donate cat food?”
Urgent Animalsurgent.deadline

Animals on a deadline

Animals whose record carries a euthanasia or transfer deadline, ordered by how little time is left.

  • “Show me urgent rescue situations in Los Angeles”
  • “Show me cats urgently needing foster homes”
Capacitycapacity.near_capacity

Shelters approaching capacity

Which organisations near a place are at or above 90% of the space they publish, and when each figure was last reported. An organisation that has published no dated figure is shown as unknown, never as a number.

  • “Which shelters near me are approaching capacity?”
  • “Are there shelters nearby with available capacity?”
Fosterfoster.needs

Foster homes needed

Where foster placements are needed, and what kind — bottle babies, medical, decompression, short-term.

  • “Show me cats urgently needing foster homes”
  • “Where are foster homes needed near me?”
Transporttransport.open

Transport that needs a driver

Open transport requests and relay legs with no driver assigned, with distance and fuel estimate.

  • “Where can I help with transport?”
  • “Show me transport runs that need a driver”
Urgent Animalsurgent.longest_waiting

Animals waiting longest

Length of stay, from the intake date on each animal's record.

  • “Which animals have been waiting the longest?”
  • “Show me long-stay dogs”
Rescue Networknetwork.organisations

Rescue organisations

Shelters and rescues by location, species accepted, verification and live-release rate.

  • “Which rescues near me take cats?”
  • “Show me verified rescues in Los Angeles”
Matchingmatching.explain

Why an animal was matched

The rule-based matching engine's factor breakdown for a rescue or foster placement.

  • “How does TIMOMAX match animals to rescues?”
  • “Why was this animal matched to that foster?”
Forecastforecast.trends

Forecasts and trends

TIMOMAX's projections about intake, capacity and transport demand — labelled as predictions, with their basis and their caveat.

  • “Which areas are experiencing increasing shelter intake?”
  • “What is TIMOMAX predicting for the next few weeks?”
TIMOMAX Intelligenceintelligence.spending

Government spending on animals

Federal awards and municipal budgets, with award, obligation and outlay kept separate and each figure linked to its source.

  • “Show me government animal-welfare spending for Los Angeles”
  • “How much does the county spend on animal services?”
Communitycommunity.today

What changed today

A summary of the last 24 hours across the community feed, capacity confirmations and urgent animals.

  • “Summarize what changed in the TIMOMAX network today”
  • “What happened in the last 24 hours?”
Rescue Networknetwork.impact

What TIMOMAX has actually done

TIMOMAX's own placement, transport and funding record — which starts at zero and stays there until it is real.

  • “How many animals has TIMOMAX placed?”
  • “What is TIMOMAX's track record?”
Why it is built this way

The model never touches the data.

Give a language model schema access and it will eventually write a subtly wrong join and answer “no animals near you are on a deadline” with complete confidence. Hand it rows to summarise and it will turn “3 spaces, confirmed 5 hours ago” into “a few spaces available” — dropping the timestamp the whole data policy rests on.

So the model’s only job is choosing a capability and filling typed parameters. The query is reviewed code. The answer is rendered from the returned records. The worst a bad match can do is answer the wrong question — never invent a fact about an animal who is running out of time.

  • “Which shelters near me are approaching capacity?”
  • “Show me cats urgently needing foster homes”
  • “Which animals have been waiting the longest?”
  • “Show me urgent rescue situations in Los Angeles”

  • “Show me government animal-welfare spending for Los Angeles”
  • “Summarize what changed in the TIMOMAX network today”

Sample data may be mixed in. A database is connected, but not every record on this screen is known to have come from it. Treat anything not marked as a live record as invented. Imagery is illustration, not photography.
